Get up to £1000 against the cost of unauthorised calls

If you take out fonesafe insurance, T-Mobile will write off the cost of unauthorised calls made after your phone or data modem is lost or stolen. Any unauthorised calls made in the 12 hours before you call T-Mobile to block your SIM card will be waived.

To insure your T-Mobile phone*, simply call 0845 120 2097 within 14 days of purchase or upgrade. Hours are Monday to Saturday, 9am-5pm. Make sure you have your proof of purchase with you for Customer Services reference.

* Tip. With some of our higher value devices (e.g. those with PC functions), it will only be possible to take out insurance through T-Mobile directly at the time of your purchase/upgrade.

* So long as you've made a claim on your fonesafe insurance policy for loss or theft of your handset or data modem and you've told T-Mobile within 24 hours of discovering the loss or theft.

If your phone is damaged

  • Call the fonesafe claims line to report the problem within 48 hours on 0844 848 5637 (or +44 845 848 5637 if calling from abroad)
  • Report malicious damage to the police within 24 hours of the incident

How do I use text messaging?

From the Text Messages menu on your phone, select ' Write' or ' Create message' and use the keypad to write. Send by entering a mobile number or choosing a name from your phone book. A single message can contain up to 160 characters, but some phones will allow multiple messages of up to 450 characters. Can I turn voicemail off?

Voicemail is offered as standard to all customers. However, you can cancel any diverts set so that calls won't go to voicemail. Check your phone's user guide or Interactive Online Manual or contact Customer Services by dialling 150 from your phone.

How do I set up picture messaging?

If your mobile has a screen that can show pictures, all you need to do to get set up is send a picture message to a phone or email address. That's it. Keep in mind you won't be able to receive a picture message until you've sent one. More help with picture messaging>

What is HSDPA?

HSDPA makes the 3G network faster so you can download files and surf the internet at higher speeds. It covers all of our 3G network. Your connection will run at HSDPA speeds if you are using the silver data card and you're in a 3G coverage area.
