Which method will you use to top up your mobile?

Did you know that you can pay a bill or top up online without logging in to My T-Mobile?  That means you can treat your family or friends, or just top up for yourself quickly and easily.

If you're topping up for someone else, you don’t have to be a T-Mobile customer – all you need is the lucky person’s phone number, your payment details and a valid email address.

If you’re topping up your own phone, you might want to log in to My T-Mobile to keep track of your account at the same time.

Log in to My T-Mobile

Topping up in My T-Mobile, just follow these three simple steps.

1. Register or log in to My T-Mobile

It’s quick and easy to register for My T-Mobile and you can do loads of useful online account stuff, like this:

  • See if your account has been credited
  • Check your itemised use for the past 90 days (if you're the account holder)
  • Send a webtext

2. Register a debit or credit card in My T-Mobile

When you register a card, our system checks whether the address you entered when you registered for My T-Mobile matches the card billing address. If the addresses don't match, the maximum you'll be able to top up online in a 30-day period is £30.

If you want to top up more than this, please make sure you register a card with a billing address that matches the address in our records.

3. You're ready to top up

That's it. Next time you need to top up just log in to My T-Mobile and click  'Top up now'.

Make sure you’ve got your registered card handy as you'll need the last four digits and the three-digit security code to top up.

Top up by text whenever and wherever you like.

1. Register or log in to My T-Mobile

It’s quick and easy to register for My T-Mobile and you can do loads of useful online account stuff, like this:

3. You're ready to top up by text

Have your registered card handy and text the following to 150.

  • The letters CR
  • The last four digits of your credit/debit card number
  • The amount you want to top up (between £5 and £95 in £5 increments)
  • The three-digit security code on the back of your card (four if AMEX)


For example: CR 1234 5 123
The spaces in between are really important, so please remember them!

E top-up

Perfect if you want to top up when you’re out and about – do it in more than 100,000 shops across the country.

1. Get your E top-up card

Your E top-up card came with you pay as you go SIM card, or you can get a new one from any T-Mobile store.

2. Link your E top-up card to your phone

Linking your card to your phone is a breeze.

Simply send a text to 150, starting with ETU, followed by a space and then your 13 digit card number eg ETU 1234567891234

Or you can dial 150 from your mobile and follow the instructions on the card.

3. You're ready to top up

When you want to top up, all you need to do is:

  • Visit any shop displaying the green 'top-up' sign
  • Tell them how much you want to top up (between £5 and £50 in £5 increments)
  • Hand over your E top-up card for swiping
  • Pay (and don't forget to get your E top-up card back!)

Tip: You can link extra E top-up cards to your account, for example if you’re a parent  and you want to top up your children's credit. Just pick one up from any shop displaying the green 'top-up' sign.

Tip: If you have more than one E top-up card, write the phone number for each one on the back so you don't get them mixed up.

You can still top up when you’re out and about without your E-top up voucher on you – do it in more than 100,000 shops across the country.

1. Get your E-voucher

An E-voucher is a card or receipt printed with a unique 16-digit voucher number.

E-vouchers are perfect if you’ve left your E top-up voucher swipe card at home.

You can get them from T-Mobile stores and over 100,000 shops around the UK such as grocery stores, newsagents and off licences - everywhere you see the green 'top-up' logo.

2. You’re ready to top up

Topping up is simple:

  • Visit a shop displaying the 'top-up' logo above
  • Buy a voucher (between £5 and £50 in £5 increments)
  • Dial 150 and select option 1 then 2
  • Key in the 16-digit number and press #

1. Find a cashpoint where you can top up

You can top up at any cashpoint where you see the green 'top-up' logo, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

2. You're ready to top up

Just follow these simple steps.

  • Put your bank card into the cashpoint as you would normally do to withdraw cash
  • Enter your PIN, then choose 'Mobile Top Up' from the options menu
  • Follow the onscreen instructions to top up

How can I pay my bill or top up my account?

The easiest way to pay your bill is by Direct Debit but you can also pay your bill or top up your credit using our text 150 service or online using My T-Mobile.

There are also several other convenient ways to pay your bill and top up.

How do I avoid the separate payment handling charge?

We have a range of preferred payment methods you can use anytime to pay your bill without paying the handling charge: simply pay online, by phone or set up a Direct Debit. The separate payment handling charge applies to credit card payments and for paying by all other methods.

How do I check my allowance, balance and unbilled calls?

You can check your remaining allowance by texting AL to 150  and you can check your balance by texting BA to 150

How can I tell if my payment has been processed?

To check whether a payment has gone through:

- Sign up or log in to My T-Mobile

- Select Make a payment.

- Select Payment history from the right.

TIP: Paying online and paying over the phone by Credit Card are the only methods where the payment will register on your account instantly.
