Boosters cost £10, £5 or £1, so when you want to use the internet you’ll know exactly what you’re spending as you choose the Booster that you want. If the one you buy runs out and you need more internet, we’ll just give you the option to buy another Booster. Simple!

What countries in Europe can I use the Euro Internet Booster in?
You can use it in most of the countries that people travel to in Europe. Our Euro Travel Zone countries are:
Austria, Azores, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Canary Islands, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, French Guyana, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guadeloupe, Guernsey, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Jersey, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Madeira, Malta, Martinique, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion, Romania, San Marino Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the Vatican.
If you travel from one country to another, any remaining time or data allowance can still be used provided you still stay within the EU/EEA. eg. Driving from the UK to Spain? The same Booster you bought in France to get you connected to the internet will keep you connected to the internet when you’re in Spain.
How much does using the internet abroad cost?
Within our Euro Travel zone, you can’t use the internet without buying a Booster first. See the Euro Internet Boosters table above for details . If you use the internet in countries outside of Europe, it will cost £7.50 per megabyte.
Which Booster should I buy?
There are a range of Euro Internet Boosters. The one you choose will depend on what you want to do on the internet:
Remember, streaming videos, download files/maps and gaming online can eat through your MB allowance really quickly.
We make sure that you always know how much your internet use is costing you. So, when a Booster runs out or expires you simply buy another. That way you’ll always know exactly how much you are spending.
What happens if I don’t buy a Booster?
The internet on your phone will not work in Europe unless you buy a Booster. This means that you cannot run up large bills without knowing. The choice to buy a Booster appears when you try and use the internet.
How do I buy a Booster?
When you first access the Internet when you’re abroad, you’ll see our Euro Internet Boosters page. Just choose the Booster you want on this page and you’ll then be able to access the internet in the normal way until the Booster expires or is used up.

What are the run on rates?
There are no run on rates. You can buy another Booster when either the time expires or you reach the Booster allowance. So you can’t run up a big bill without knowing it.
How can I check how much data I have used?
You can check how much data you’ve used by bookmarking this status page on your phone:

You can check this at any time, and it won’t come out of your allowance
What happens when I reach the Booster allowance?
You can buy another Booster when either the data allowance is reached or when the time expires. If you do go over your data allowance, you’ll receive a text message to let you know. The next time you try to use the internet, you’ll also see the Euro Internet Booster page.
If I go over the data allowance what will I be charged?
You can’t go over the data allowance and you won’t be charged anything until you buy another Booster. If you reach the data allowance you will have to buy another Booster to continue using the internet. This means you can never unknowingly run up a large bill.
I have a phone that is “always on” like an iPhone and Android. How will it work?
If you turn on data, try to use an App or send an email, we’ll send you a text. This text will have the URL of our Booster page so you can decide how much you want to buy before any charges are incurred. The text will say:
You are trying to access the internet but you have not purchased/activated a Booster. Please go to http://www.t-zones.co.uk/apps/ebdc/en/purchase-SMS
Can I turn off data as I don’t want to use the internet on my phone when I’m on holiday?
Yes. You can turn “data roaming” on or off within the data roaming settings of your phone menu. Please check your phone manual or manufacturer website for more information. Just remember that when you first buy your phone, the settings should default to ‘data roaming off’; so you may not need to do anything at all, but it is best to check the settings if you are going abroad.
How does WiFi work if I am abroad? If I’m on WiFi, will it use my allowance on my Euro Internet Booster?
You can connect to local WiFi services when you are in Europe. If you’re connected to the internet via WiFi you will not be using any of your Euro Internet Booster data allowance. Any charges you may incur for using WiFi will be dependent on the relevant arrangement with the local WiFi provider
I’m travelling outside of Europe how much will I be charged?
If you use your phone to use the internet in countries outside of Europe then it will cost £7.50/MB. Just to be clear, Europe means countries in the EU and EEA. Unfortunately some favourite tourist spots like Turkey, Croatia, Morocco and Tunisia are not included in the EU.
What happens if travel from a country in Europe to one outside?
Once your phone connects to a network outside of the EU/EEA then you won’t be able to get the Euro Internet Booster and will be charged the relevant per MB rate. (currently £7.50/MB)
I have a BlackBerry - do Euro Internet Boosters work with my BlackBerry?
No. If you’re using a BlackBerry in Europe it will cost £1.50/MB up to a maximum of £4 per day. This is also capped at a maximum amount of £48 in any month. If you’re a regular traveller abroad with a BlackBerry you can also buy a BlackBerry World Email 30 Day Booster which costs £15.32 for a month. You can get this by texting BBROAM to 879
As long as you’ve got your data roaming turned on, just access internet on your phone in the normal way. Access to the internet costs £7.50 per megabyte of data you use.

Your account needs to be set up to use your phone to call, text and use the internet abroad - if you’ve made or received calls while abroad in the past then you should be setup and able to use the internet too.
If you’re not sure if you’re setup, call 150 before you go and use our automated system to check - use option 3, then 3 again. You should also have a look at our before you go checklist.
Some phones, like iPhones, BlackBerry smartphones and Androids have a setting that turns off data roaming, but still allows you make calls and send text messages. Take a look at your phone manual to see how to check this setting.
